Here’s the audio version as well, in case you’re like me
(I love listening, besides reading).
This year has brought me many pleasant experiences and others not so much…
I’ve met a lot of people who are very different from me, and also likeminded ones.
In the streets I cross my path with many individuals that –had I visited with them- I’m sure I would have learned amazing things about them!
I wonder how they do perceive me?
Each person is a whole world! Since we all are the result of our education, our environment, the influence from others, the news that we receive from the media, and so on, there are way too many variables in the different personalities.
Somehow, we’re all capable of radiating love, or being the source of pain to someone.
What do you radiate?
Yes, in our daily lives we have endless opportunities to spread light even without saying a word; it only takes a kind attitude and a spontaneous smile. We can’t avoid the fact that our mere existence affects all nature.
So many people perform their jobs with effort, dedication, and often with lots of creativity and determination to grow. However, upon facing an environment that is cold, indifferent, full of complaints and criticism, the enthusiasm and interest dim out and suddenly they fall in a state of numbness that causes the work atmosphere to turn heavy and torturous. This is contagious…!
Remember that our thoughts + emotion, build our belief system. This determines our reality attracting similar thoughts…
Are you devoting too much time thinking about what you don’t like? If so, that will be your life experience!
I suggest that during this day, you only notice the things you like around you: Perhaps your own achievements, or maybe the word exchange with a coworker you hardly know. It could be that your sincere smile begins to infest your work team in a positive way. Furthermore, if you happen to acknowledge their accomplishments as well, without saying: “yes, but…” you’ll see the rise of more and more reasons to appreciate and being appreciated.
Whenever a negative thought crosses your mind, intentionally come up with the positive counterpart. It’s a new habit that can be installed in that mental “hard-disk”, which is screaming for the antivirus of criticism and the obsession to believe that “…I’m the only one who’s right!”
If you accept this experiment, most likely you’ll be surprised of the very satisfactory results, and the fact that it was much easier than you thought!
Have a very blissful rest of the week!
